Nowadays, most people live hectic lifestyles running around trying to get things done. As a result, many end up getting overwhelmed and thus fail to accomplish much at the end of the day. 1. Visualize a successful day ahead

Think about what you want to achieve for the day and envisage yourself being successful. If there are any obstacles you anticipate, imagine yourself dealing successfully with each of them. Visualizing is a very powerful way of looking forward to what lies ahead and seeing possibilities. It can significantly improve your psychological and physical reactions in different situations.

2. Read something inspirational

Reading something inspirational in the morning will help get your mind in a positive state. Inspirational quotes or passages will give you the much needed motivation for the tasks ahead of you. Here are a few examples:

  • “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle
  • “Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome.” – Samuel Johnson
  • “Men’s best successes come after their disappointments.” – Henry Ward Beecher
  • “Fortune favors the brave.” – Publius Terence

3. Take time to be thankful

Take time to think about all the things you have been blessed with – family, health, friends, shelter, food, opportunities, and many more. When you are grateful for what you already have, more blessings are likely to come your way. In addition, having an attitude of gratitude will help you sustain a sense of wellbeing and a positive mood all through the day.

4. Exercise for a few minutes

Try to wake up early and go out for a jog or to the gym. However, you could also opt for some simple exercises in the comfort of your home. Research has shown that exercise boosts muscle flexibility which in turn enhances overall movement and daily performance. In addition, exercise boosts blood flow to your brain and muscles, thus eliminating stress and tension.

5. Release all grudges and negative thoughts

Harboring negativity or grudges towards other people will only weigh you down and keep you from operating at your optimum level. Forgiving others and letting go has numerous benefits including stress relief, lower blood pressure, and lower heart rate. Therefore, to boost your creativity as well as productivity, be sure to let go of all ill feelings and negativity first thing every morning.

6. Speak aloud a few affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements that are meant to paint a picture of a desired situation. To be effective, such statements are meant to be repeated until they are engraved in the subconscious mind. Repeating aloud some affirmations in the morning will boost your confidence, thus enhancing your chances of success. This could be statements such as “I am healthy and happy”, “I am getting wealthier every day”, “My body is healthy and functioning properly” and “I am successful in anything I do.” Avoid positive words with negative connotations such as “I’m not broke” or “My colleagues don’t hate me.”
