Find Potential Employees through Independent Blogs

As the world moves into the internet era, job seekers across the globe are taking measure to integrate themselves on line. This is not only the best method of enhancing your online visibility but it is considered to be an excellent way to get noticed and headhunted for a job. While job seekers use various websites and social networks to promote themselves, it is imperative that recruiters take the initiative to search for candidates online.

One of the most popular mediums that job seekers are using to showcase their work is through blogs. Regardless of what their niche is, candidates are able to demonstrate their experiences and abilities through a personal blog. A blog is an informative website that can be hosted online.

Why Headhunt through Blogs?

Recruiters, especially those who are hiring candidates through head hunting, are highly advised to thoroughly search the internet to identify key online influencers in the online blogging community. There are a number of positions that can be fulfilled by searching through blogs, for example:

  • Design– web developers, web designers
  • Content – content writers, proofreaders, editors
  • Marketing – PPC and SEO specialists, email marketing, social media marketing

How to Find Suitable Candidates

The most efficient method of searching for qualified candidates through blogs is by social networks. Any job seeker who wishes to be recognized for their work will have social links leading to their blog.

For example: If you wish to fulfill a marketing executive position in the UK, you can perform a search through LinkedIn. This will lead you to a number of LinkedIn professional profiles. LinkedIn allows users to provide website links within their profile therefore recruiters can view blogs from the social profile.

Once you have identified a blogger whose work matches the standard you are looking for, it is advised that you contact them via email or internal messaging (rather than publicly). Keep the message professional and state your interest in their work. After the interest has been established, they are likely to reply and ask for more information regarding the job role and requirements.
