Foreign Minister Meets Association of Foreign Service Employee Family Members

 31 Jul 2012

On 30  July, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs met with representatives from the association of the family members of foreign service employees. During the meeting, a Memorandum  of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Association with the aim of dealing with problems encountered by the families of foreign service employees as they go abroad and subsequently return to Latvia.

The minister commended support and contribution provided by the spouses of foreign service employees during their tenure abroad. "Your support to your spouses and the country is invaluable as you assist with arranging visits and cultural and other events aiming for the highest standards. I take this opportunity to thank you for that," said the Foreign Minister.
