“Our jobs are killing us. And the people who are responsible are the leaders.” Simon Sinek
Leaders Are Made Not Born
In this engaging video by ethnographer and leadership expert Simon Sinek, entitled: Why Leaders Eat Last, you’ll discover a valuable perspective about leadership. Sinek argues that leaders are not born; they’re made. Leaders, he says, receive privileges, but at a cost. For example, when danger is present, there is an expectation that the leader will step in to mitigate all dangers even at his own expense. But essentially, leadership is about three key things: passion, purpose and people.
Sinek’s perspective is an enlightening, original and passionate one, and his charge at bankers is particularly heartfelt. It’s a great video that’s worth your time; I’m sure.
