How Exercise Can Improve Your Memory

Physical exercise is good for your health and body; but that doesn’t stop there. In fact, regular exercising also has mental benefits as it can help you improve your memory. A study revealed that people who took aerobics for a year had an enlarged hippocampus – a component of the brain that is responsible for short and long-term memory and learning, by an average of 2%. This is in contrast to those who attended stretching classes whose hippocampus decreased in size by an average of 1.42%.
