A popular employment website recently launched its very first advertisement. Indeed.com-the global subsidiary company under Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd.-wants to share with the world why they have one of the best search engines.
The multilingual website was founded in 2004 and is available to job seekers in over 50 countries. It's no wonder why the company deems itself as one of the leading online platforms to find work.
Indeed's new campaign production, "How Commercial Works,” is so strikingly creative.
The commercial is basically an ad within an ad showing a team of crew members recording a commercial.
Mullen, which is a lead strategic and creative agency, was added to Indeed's team in December 2013 and were the brains behind the hiring process.
A spokesperson for the agency described how the candidates were chosen for the commercial.
“For the video part of the campaign, we used the Indeed platform to scout and hire creative and production talent,” the spokesperson reported. “Indeed posted 26 job openings on its website for roles in the spot. Within 48 hours, 1,500 applications were received. Indeed conducted more than 200 interviews in just 14 days. Once a selection was made, industry professionals from six different countries—UK., US., Canada, Czech Republic, Australia and Germany—traveled to Prague for filming and production."
Indeed's Vice President of Corporate Marketing Mary Ellen Dugan told MediaPost that the commercial is meant to highlight how beneficial teamwork can be-especially when it pertains to bringing different jobs together for one common task.
The campaign also displays how Indeed's online platform may be the perfect resource for both job seekers and employers.
“All of the creative elements within the campaign tell the story of how diverse jobs combine to make something work," Dugan said. "Whether it's creating the perfect line of code, the perfect presentation, or the perfect cup of coffee, the world needs smart, talented and motivated people to take on life's daily challenges and opportunities. It's how things get done. It's how the world works."
The campaign is located only in the UK at the moment, but it plans to reach additional markets across the globe before the end of the year.
