Life Advice from 50 Beloved Characters in Kid's Entertainment [Infographic]

The last place you would expect to get some solid life advice would be from the characters of a silly cartoon or an animated movie. But believe it or not these characters actually speak some profound words of wisdom from time to time!

It makes sense though if you think about it. Kids’ TV and movies are usually out to teach our little ones a lesson. There’s always a moral of the story. They get back to basics and can teach us all something about the world around us.

So here’s some of the best advice from those beloved characters and what we can take from it from this splendid infographic from visually:

Life doesn’t give us purpose. We give life purpose.” - The Flash, DC Universe

Blimey I think The Flash has cracked it. He’s explained the meaning of life. And he’s right. At the end of the day, our experiences are what we make of them in every area of our lives.

Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it.” - Merida, Brave

We know our own capabilities, our skills, our unique talents. But we don’t always put them into practice as we should. Merida is telling us to grow some and follow our dreams.

They say the best blaze burns the brightest, when the circumstances are at their worst.” - Sophie, Howl’s Moving Castle

Sometimes adversity can bring out the best in us. We have to endure stress, pressure and hardships to learn something about ourselves and to prove that we can overcome any struggle that comes our way and really shine.

Sucking at something is the first step to becoming sorta good at something.” - Jake, Adventure Time

Jake is certainly a wise old dog. You don’t know if you’ll be good at something unless you try. And we can’t all be good at everything immediately; it takes hard work to become a pro at something.

Oh yes, the past can hurt. But, you can either run from it or learn from it.” - Rafiki, The Lion King

This is a simple piece of advice that’s straight to the point. Time doesn’t stop ticking when something bad happens or when you make a mistake. You just have to go with it, learn from your experiences and move on.

Venture outside your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it.” - Rapunzel, Tangled

I’m sure you’ll agree that some of the best life experiences you can have are the ones where you do something different, something that might be terrifying to begin with. Really, what is the worst that can happen?

Fairy tales can come true. You gotta make them happen, it all depends on you.” - Tiana, The Princess and the Frog

This is a Disney princess I would want my children to look up to! Tiana knows that you can wish and daydream all you like, but that won’t make anything happen. You’re the only person that can make a change in your life and make your wishes come true.

In every job that must be done there is an element of fun.” - Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins

When it feels like all you’re doing is slogging away at work, remember to take the time to enjoy what you’re doing. You can make anything fun if you really want to.
