Relieve your Workplace Stress with Tetris Stress Blocks

You may remember the game - Tetris - from several years ago. Played on the (now rather "old fashioned") gameboy, it was addictive to say the least! Well, Tetris has taken their block-falling game to a new level with their new Tetris stress blocks. This game is ideal for anxiety-filled gamers but also for people who experience stress in the workplace.

Reports in the USA point out that employees increasingly feel stressed at work. The American Institute of Stress reports that “the vast majority of American workers say they are stressed, more than a third say that their job is harming their physical or emotional well-being while half report more demanding workloads than they had a year ago”. So, if you feel anxious or exhausted or even if you suffer from wrist pain from excessive mouse use, then why not alleviate these with the Tetris stress block? Essentially, the game can become a playful way to combat stress at work.

The Tetris stress blocks are manufactured by ThinkGeek and are shaped exactly like the Tetriminos from the conventional puzzle game. There are five different Tetris stress blocks to combine, squeeze, throw and yell at.

Scientists point out that when we play actively, we trigger a mix of endorphins that lift our spirits and distractions that distance us from pain, fear, and other burdens. In other words, fighting stress at work can be achieved imaginatively. You neither have to yell at someone nor break things to get rid of your tension. So, if you are in need of some playful and lighthearted 'therapy', then get your hands on the Tetris Stress Blocks and squeeze your troubles away.
