What's Your Story?

We all know how important it is in this day and age to give intellectual information to your audience. We all have heard from marketing experts the importance of content marketing when developing a marketing strategy for your company, but having said that… let’s not forget the focus, your band, the story behind your brand.

Story telling is still the most powerful way to elicit an emotional reaction. We might live in a digital era, but something that doesn’t change is the emotion people experience when told a story. Story telling is perhaps one of the most effective ways to capture people’s emotions. Let’s take coca-cola for instance… They capture moments and in a subtle way tell their audience we have been with you throughout the ages, and we’ll continue to do so for many more years to come.

The campaign has a simple, yet elegant message. Life is precious. Time passes by quickly and coca-cola is proud to be a part of these special moments in your life, with your friends, and loved ones. Sometimes the simplest of marketing strategy is the most effective. It’s important to always remember what the story of your brand is, and how telling your brand story will impact or influence others.

In a study conducted by MIT and Harvard’s Computer Science Department it found that when it comes to visual content the strongest response to human was human recognizable imagery. People like stories they can relate to and creating brand awareness is a form of storytelling. You should implement a plan to tell your stories in various media platforms, but always remembering to focus on building brand awareness while telling your company’s story. Telling your company’s story is no different than telling any other story, which is about its birth, its growth, its hard labor, and its future. This is a story everyone can relate to when given a human aspect to it. It builds brand awareness, brand loyalty and trust.

So, remember tell your story, and let the audience connect with your company via emotions.
