Whether you are a morning person or not, getting yourself out of bed can be very challenging but essential, and getting to work on time is just one of the many things you need to achieve that day. So, how do you ensure that each and every morning you are able to get up, dressed and ready for the busy day ahead without running late?
Here’s how to be more efficient in the morning:
#1 Start your morning the night before
Decide what you are going to wear from the night before so that you avoid sleepwalking and hitting your head on the wardrobe! Think about what the next morning requires from you so that you can prepare an outfit in advance and avoid rushing in the morning. Also, make sure you have packed your lunch and you are ready for the day!
#2 Organise your essentials
Allocate a place where you keep your important items. These could be the items that you take everywhere with you such as your keys, wallet and mobile phone. This is very important because looking for these items can be very time-consuming - not to mention annoying, especially when you are in a hurry to take the bus!
#3 Sleep with the curtains halfway open
Let the sun shine come in your room in the morning. This is nature’s most effective wake-up clock as it informs your brain it is time to get moving. Your eyes will adjust to the environment quicker and will help your body wake up more naturally.
#4 Put your alarm clock across the room
If you are an alarm clock snoozer then this tip will definitely help you. Avoid snoozing your alarm clock by putting it on your desk across the room. This will force you to get up and wake up earlier, thus becoming more efficient.
#5 Put an emphasis on a healthy breakfast
Make sure that you eat a healthy breakfast before leaving the house. Breakfast serves are the most important meal of the day, and so by giving yourself time to prepare and eat a hearty, healthy breakfast, you are setting your day up for a positive start.
