Although a 2014 innovation, these radio-controlled flying machines that look like aliens continue to be a major trend for this year. Drone which is a flying quadopter helicopter that is designed to be controlled by mobile or tablet iOS and Android operating systems.

3D printing is becoming very popular and printers are predicted to be distributed for commercial and private purposes in 2015. Hewlett-Packard, the well-known American information technology corporation, has already started working on becoming the first mainstream 3D printing company. HP plans to introduce two new products as part of the “Blended Reality” vision which involves a new ecosystem designed to blend the physical and digital worlds.

#3 Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has become an essential aspect of modern computing due to its ability to provide data storage and maintenance hosted by a cloud service provider. In essence, it refers to the organisation of groups of remote servers and software networks that allow centralised data storage and online access to specific computer resources. Because of the convenience it provides, cloud computing will probably continue to prevail as one of the top tech trends for another few years to come.

#4 Smart Cars

By smart cars here we mean, self-driving cars. Google, Audi and Mercedes Benz have already developed a new car model that drives you around where you want to go without you having to steer the wheel! These self-driving cars, while they are still under development, aim to make driving safer and more enjoyable.

#5 Wearable Tech

After Apple launched iWatch and Google introduced Google Glass in 2014, technology seems to be moving towards creating and designing other similar wearable devices. Since more people are becoming interested in purchasing such devices it is predicted that this year wearable gadgets will come into mainstream. Other wearable tech devices include Metawatch, Sony Smartwatch, Samsung Gear and Nike fuel bands.
