Tama is considered quite a hero to the people of Kishi Train Station. The train station was losing an estimated $4.7 million a year in 2007, and since then Miss Tama has single handedly brought in $10.4 million and turned this small cat shaped train station into a popular tourist attraction. All in a good few years work. Tama also has 2 assistants; Miiko and Chibi.
PC Tizer was an essential member of the team from 2007 until his death in 2009. He had total access to the entire station including, of course, his own office.
Morris puts a complete understanding to the term ’cool cat’. I don’t know about you guys but this celebrity cat looks pretty cool to me. One of the coolest most popular cats around, Morris also has a sensitive side. When Spuds the Bud Light marketing dog passed away, Morris was quoted by People Magazine as eulogizing his fellow spokes-animal by saying ’meow.’ Aww.
This is another more politically famous Morris The Cat. This fellow ran for Mayor in Mexico. The owners of the famous ’Candigato’ (’gato’ is cat in Spanish) decided to put Morris in the running to make a point that nobody cares who wins the election. Point proven when the cats Facebook page quickly reached over 160,000 likes. The head of Veracrus’z electoral institute actually made a public announcement insisting that the public do not waste votes by spoiling their ballot with support for Morris. I’m in full support of this ’In Cat We Trust’ campaign.
Tuxedo Stan set an example for politician cats around the world, by founding the Tuxedo Party of Canada, the first political party for cats. Tuxedo Stan also ran for mayor and was the mascot of this organisation. His dreams? To improve welfare of felines in Halifax Regional Municipality. Though unfortunately Tuxedo Stan has ran out of all 9 lives, his brother Earl has taken over and his legacy lives on.
As an official police officer, Lemon goes on calls with his human colleagues and comforts witnesses at crime scenes and such. Lemon followed his dream of protecting society by just letting himself into the police station and wandering around. If only getting employed in our dream job was that easy for the rest of us.
The Algonquin Hotel started a tradition of having a feline host in the 1930s. Now Matilda roams the halls and greets the guests when and if she pleases. As cats do. The mousing is a bonus.
After Kuzya randomly wandered into the library, the staff decided to keep her as a pet. After getting all her shots and her cat passport (yes, really) Kuzya brought so many visitors that she was promoted from pet to assistant librarian! This promotion entailed wearing a cute little bow tie and, well, that’s it.
Last but certainly not least, we have Millie, the security cat of the Bandai warehouse. Millie spends her days protecting the mass amount of toys from destruction by the local mice. Of course she has to wear her uniform; how else would the mice understand and respect her authority?
Just a cute slideshow that's about to make you feel alot worse about being unemployed.
