The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the most sought-after countries to relocate to and work in for ambitious and skilled professionals. This is largely due to the stunning scenery, attractive tax-free salaries, and interesting cultural experiences that you will experience living and working in the UAE. While many jobs require you to know Arabic, there are several large employers who require English-speaking, skilled workers.

Surprisingly, expats account for approximately 85 percent of the population in the UAE, but working there is very different from typical western countries. There are some important aspects of working in the UAE that you should be aware of; for example, the working week is Sunday through to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday being the weekend.

Let’s take a look at which employers made it to the top ten employers in the UAE list, as ranked according to Great Place to Work (2014 data).
