2. It's Difficult Work
It’s obvious that real estate agents work hard, but there are a lot of behind-the-scenes aspects to the career that outsiders don't notice. You have to travel between houses and towns every day, promote homes for sale with flyers or ads, and make sure houses are presentable enough to show to buyers. You'll probably be on your feet for most of every day.
3. You Have to Be a Great Salesperson
To become a realtor, you have to sell to your clients without being pushy or untrustworthy. If you don’t feel like a convincing salesperson, just follow the golden rule of sales: fake it ‘til you make it. If you act confident, you’ll eventually become confident.
4. You May Have to Work Long Hours
Most people at the beginning stages of real estate training wonder: how much do realtors make? Some people imagine real estate agents raking in thousands of dollars for a few hours of work. In reality, the amount of money you make usually reflects the number of hours you put into your job, and you'll probably have to work long hours to make a good profit. While most people relax in the evenings and weekends, you'll be rushing around to show your clients homes and organize open houses.

In any job that involves working with others, you’ll face some crazy customers, and real estate is no different. Many people thrive when they're in charge of themselves. As long as you can stay motivated without a supervisor watching your every move, having the freedom to make your own schedule and take on as many or as few clients as you want is a fantastic opportunity.
