There are several options of free online educational learning websites to choose from. You can take online courses to further your education in order to open up new career opportunities.

Khan Academy

The mission of Khan Academy “is to provide a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. All of our resources are completely free forever, regardless of whether you're a student, teacher, home-schooler, principal, adult returning to the classroom after 20 years, or a friendly alien just trying to get a leg up in earthly biology.” They are a nonprofit organization and receive donations from users and major supporters. Some of the subjects of study offered are: math; science; economics/finance; humanities; test & prep; and computer programming. They offer online learning for students, as well as resources for coaches, parents and mentors. The academy also offers online toolkits, ideas and materials for teachers to take learning in their physical classrooms to the next level.

Free-Ed

The mission of Free-Ed is that “it all begins with a dream. Find your dream. Feed your passion. Grow your career. Build your life. The campus is virtual but the experience is real.” They offer the following online educational departments: arts & humanities; business, marketing & economics; career development; computer science & information technology; building & construction; medicine & allied health; science & math; social studies; hospitality & human services; public services; food, agriculture & environmental services; engineering & technology; and transportation, manufacturing & industry. The philosophy of Free-Ed is to allow each individual student to grow at his or her own pace. They see each person as a unique individual who needs to follow a singular path that is different than another person’s path. GCF Learn Free

The mission of GCF Learn Free is “creating opportunities for a better life.” This online learning website has apps that users can utilize to learn on the go. The three main areas of study are: technology, reading and math. They offer 750 free lessons, 250 videos and a learn at your own pace mentality. In the technology department, they offer the following: basic computer skills, MS Excel, Facebook 101, MS Office, Internet basics and Google. In the reading department, they offer: reading activities, word videos, cognitive games and learning tools. In the math department, they offer engaging tutorials to assist you in brushing up on math skills.
