Nicolas Ellis, MD

Physician & Founder of Medlife

Dr. Nicolas “Nick” Ellis is the Founder of MEDLIFE and an emergency medicine physician with a background in international development. Originally from Bangor, Maine, he studied Development Economics and International Development at McGill University, completing multiple semesters abroad in Ecuador and Panama—experiences that shaped his approach to global health and social impact. He later completed his medical training at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. As an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Ellis works with underserved populations in the United States while leading MEDLIFE’s mission to expand equitable access to healthcare, education, and community development across Latin America and Africa through ethical, locally driven service-learning partnerships.
