According to a PwC report, the sports market in North America (consisting of primary market sales for sporting events, media rights, sponsorships and sales of sport teams’ licensed products is expected to grow at an annual rate of 4.5% to $70.7 billion in 2018.  While data is positive news for the sports industry, it has a wide effect by aiding in economic stimulation and job growth.

New data revealed that sports-related employment is on the rise, “with promoters of performing arts, sports, and similar events growing by 30% between 2010 and 2014, followed by agents and managers for artists, athletes, entertainers, and other public figures, which grew by 17%“. 

Who said that athletes and coaches are the only professions supported by the sports industry? Many other sports-related occupations saw double-digit employment growth after the big recession. Here are 10 of these occupations:
